June 2023
Hello Summer! Are you ready to get into summer break mode? Well, we have a few ideas to perk up your dog days of summer. Our Homemakers are wrapping up their year with the final June meeting and will be planning their annual day soon. Congratulations to Homemakers Judi Little, Myrna Vazquez, Connie Talent, and Eve Adams for their great showing of their crafts at the 2023 KEHA convention in Louisville. Calloway county has some impressive artisans! I have completed my food preservation training, so I will be offering canning classes in jams and jellies, salsa, and stewed tomatoes. Participants wanting to attend any of the canning classes must first take the mandatory introduction to canning class, choose either session. Participants will be learning both water bath and pressure canning. We will be hosting an adult beginner sewing class in early July. Come and join in the summer fun!
